Sweet! This will be a really fun ride! Does anyone have a small GPS they ride with? If so we can find the Husky Monument easy that way. Oh and for anyone without a dez tank, no worries at all... We can get gas in Jo-berg, just minutes away from Randsburgh.

Directions are really easy but the problem is the last time I was up there the street sign where we stage from was stolen. The street is called "Esse" and it's a dirt road off of Twenty Mule Team Road real close to that water tank, both are on the north side of the road. What it is is a neighborhood street layout that was never built, so it's grated dirt roads with streeet signs and you can find this on Google or Mapquest. Twenty Mule Team road is right to the east of Cal City Boulevard coming from the 14 / Mojave and west off of the 395 coming up from Cajon Pass. Off of TMTR and on to Esse you drive down the dirt road for about 500 yards and it opens up into a staging area. All of this is legal by the way. Go to the right when you enter the staging area and we'll wave you in.

If this makes no sense please post, break a ball or two and I'll post better directions.

What time do we think, say maybe 9:00AM? If you all want to go earlier say sumeding, majority rules.

Hey everyone, I was out there at Cal City and Randsburg this past Saturday and I am happy to say that the Esse road sign off of Twenty Mule Team Road has been replaced.

Also, I have GPS coordinates for the staging area if anyone would like them. I'll post them up.

We can also just meet at the McDonald's in California City, it is about a 10 minute drive from there to the staging area. For anyone coming through Cajon Pass it would be quicker to go straight to the staging but either way is fine. So wgat is it, staging or in town?

Right on, this will be a good ride for sure. I did the ride last wekend and it was great up there; not too cold or hot and no wind. Kinda dusty but hey, what do you expect for the dez.

The coordinates for the staging area are:

N 35 10.673
W 117 50.599

It is about 500-1,000 yards on ESSE road. Google it and print out the area if you have doubts.

I'll PM my cell.. awe heck here it is: 818.929.5571

I need to be in downtown LA at 7:00ish for a Kings game so if you guys want to move up a little I'm not opposed, as long as I wake up! I'll be there!

Hey guys. I haven't checked in because I'm not sure whether I'm working or not. I probably won't know until the night before.

I'd really like to make it if my schedule cooperates.

Well the Joker really still is alive.

The rest of you are sadist. 8:30am :yikes: I thought I only had to leave the house by 6am on a race day. I guess that gives us more riding time.
KX I have a bar mount for my GPS, so I will enter the Husky site.

Looks like Kiwi and I will be joining a couple other fellas at Jawbone for a little ride. They say we're going 20 miles and it shouldn't take more than 5 hours :)

You guys all have fun, sorry but I didn't notice this thread until after I committed myself to torture lol.

I saw that post at KTMTalk and thought it sounded like a Kiwi ride. I have to much stuff to do this weekend to make one of these rides. :bang:

Here's a link... I tried to zoom it in over Esse Road, I don't know if it works... Traveling N. from Hwy 58 on California City Blvd you turn right on Randsburg Mojave Road... Then the road splits and you go right onto Twenty Mule Team Road until you reach Esse Road were you turn left... If you start seeing streets named after cars "chrysler, & cadallac" you've gone too far... The meeting time is 8:30... I have an older white nissan truck with a green bike...

I checked the link, it works perfect... Just hit the zoom key twice...

KX gave out his cell # in an earlier post if you cant find the place. It might be just be me being directionally challenged but that map didnt seem to help a lot. Ill just follow the directions instead.

Dante correct me if Im wrong,

Travel North on 395 from #15 until you get to Kramer Junction (aka 4 Corners).
Make a left in Kramer Junction at the #58
Drive West on #58 until you hit California City Blvd.
The road splits and you go right on Twently Mule Team Road
When you reach Esse you make a left
Look for a White Nissan with a green bike.

Is this right??????

You know how us High Desert Oakies marry our cousin and only manage to graduate from the 6th grade, you need to keep it simple for us. :)

The only confusion should be from which direction you are coming from, I don't want to say to go left on ESSE because you might be coming from the other direction. Bottom line is ESSE is north of TMTR. It's really easy, just look for the street sign that is the corner of ESSE and TMTR.

It's gonna be brutal getting up there by 8:30!

I'm in a blue Tundra DC with a moto-tote.
