I installed new cylinder studs and locating dowels on my 01 CR250. I greased the studs and torqued them to spec which by the way doesn't sounds like a lot, 106 in lbs. Should I have put some sort of lock tight on them? I don't want to run into the situation of trying to remove the cylinder nuts and have the studs spin out. The original studs and locating dowels were pretty corroded.

i use loctite on almost any nut or bolt that could possibly come loose. if your talking about loctiting the cylinder studs, then yes, i would at least use the blue(medium) stuff :)

I have used blue lock-tite and the stud intallers with the ball bearing on the inside-top. Tried to set them deep enough in the cylinder to match the original depth and have all the tops match in height. I don't think they are goint to be easy to come out as they were pretty tight going down.
