Decompression Arm

Should there be any side to side play in the auto decompresion arm in an 04 crf 450. I am replacing valves and installing a wiseco 12.5:1 piston and noticed the play in the arm is allowing the adjusting bolt to wear funny.

there is a certain amount of play because the arm only makes contact in the intial kick .. the owners manual has the clearance that it is supposed to be set at... i just finished all the same work you are doing on my04 ... it really runs great now!

Thats good to here, I can't wait to get it back together, spring has finally arrived here in south dakota, and I am itching to roost.
