Ok, are any of you faithfull Watchdog users going to be out at the TWMC Deep Creek ride? I hoping to have my new dog delivered in the mail tonight or tomorrow and have it installed by Saturday to use at Deep Creek.

Since I've never even looked at how to program the dog, I may be looking for some technical advice. From some of the past posts I've seen, I know there are some major differences to the ICO I've been using. I also wouln't be too suprised if Mr Nonickname was to throw some odd stuff on the route sheet to keep us on our toes!

See ya in the Rocks!!!

Who besides me, of the Knuckleheads will attend?

Completely straightforward route sheet, I dunno what you are talking about. Attached is a .rs file (change *_rs.txt to *.rs) and the route sheet.

You probably haven't heard this yet, but Ned was hospitalized with 2 bleeding ulcers yesterday. They put 5 units of blood in him inside of 18 hours before they scoped him this morning and cauterized the artery. They are waiting to make sure it holds, otherwise he may need surgery. No word yet from the doc on the cause of the ulcers or the future implications. This is the 27th straight "Ned-duro" for the club, and I'm trying to do something cool for the trophies. So you might be kicking yourself if you miss this one.

Besides, how can you pass up a course so tough that it causes internal hemorrhaging?

Real bummer about Ned! Give him our best wishes... It won't be the same without him there.

That route sheet was a little intimidating, but after a few speed modifications and line deletions, it aint half bad. You even left us some free time on the 4th loop, although I'm sure that won't be for us to sit around and eat popsicles.

Now I just have to cross my fingers that the new dog shows up in time!

Thats a real bummer about Ned. Sorry I missed this one but Little League takes priority. I have 2 two hour practices on Sunday for each of my boys teams.

How was the race?

I didn't see any of the Wrecking Crew regulars out there. Did I just miss you? It was a real zoo out at Lucern Valley with the good weather and 3-day weekend.

I got my watchdog in the mail mid day Friday, worked like mad getting it installed in time to head out Friday night.

The route sheet was pretty straight forward, and programing the watchdog was not a problem. Once I get use to it, I think it will be much simpler than the old ICO Pro Comp. One thing I had to figure out real quick was how to reset the wheel size. I check my mileage against others before the event and it seemed good, but at the 2.9 I was off by 2 tenths! Sounds like most people were. I had to keep bumping my mileage up every few miles to stay close to on time. At the first free time I found out how to adjust the tire size, and got pretty close. All in all the dog worked out very well. I like how it shows most of what you need on one screen without being info overload.

For any who didn't make it out, you missed a great event! The Saturday Biathlon qualifier ( Mt Bike a short loop in the sand and then shoot paintballs at a dummy up on the hill x3) and chili cook off where a blast and the weather was near perfect. Sunday I was bit nervous when the start had three difficulty splits, but the coures was an absolute blast, with the possible exception of the Expert/Master split. You know it's going to be ugly when you top a hill and see 15 jeeps and loads of spectators there to watch. If someone had took me to that hill and told me we were going to ride down it, I would have never believed it. Amazingly enough, everyone made it and I don't think anyone got hurt. I'm sure there are lots of TWMC bike stains on some of the rocks out there though.

Deano, I forgot to look for you out there, what minute were you on?

I Was 10-b and had a couple of guests, one with a watchdog he just got version 9 I think. His tire size was waaaayyyyy off and had 6+ miles at the 2.9.

I got another big fat DNF or really a DNS (did not start) had a flat before the start. I did my ride report on the TWMC site.

Ill make a new post later on my YZ250 ride report.

Hey Chris hows it going? Its good to hear from you Kim and the family. I'm going to be out of riding for a bit. Im going through a divorce and besides having the kids living with me I dont have an operational bike at the moment due to funds. This should all change by April if not sooner and this boy should be back to riding by then.

Thanks for the offer though. I trust you Scar, Thumbs, Ol89er, Jeff, Eel, Holeshot and the rest of the Crew are all doing well and Ill see you guys in a few if not sooner. Hopefully in time for Kennedy Meadows this summer for sure.

Hasta Crew

Rich - Sorry to hear about the D thing. I'm sure you will have things setteled soon and will be back in action.

What does your scooter need to be operational? I'm always willing to help a guy out if I can.

Thanks Thumbs I appreciate the offer but it needs to have a valve job done and that requires machine work to the head for new valves. I should be able to swing that after everything is settled by April. I have to say, I miss the ride but I will be back on the red stead again soon. :ride:

No biggie Chris, I would have been hunting for you if I would have had problems with the new watchdog.

I was on on row 4, 4a to be exact. I actually did rather well in the Saturday biathlon qualifier and got a good choice of early rows.

My Watchdog came preset with a wheel size of 83.00, which seemed pretty close. I believe the course mileage was set with an odo that ran a little long. Anyways, I adjusted to 84.6 at the first reset, and was a lot closer. Probably should have added another.8 or so, since I said I was on time when I burned that loop 2 check.
