Did I put too big of a tire on?

I had a new rear tire put on my 220 KDX yesterday. A Dunlap 756 in the 110/100-18 size. I had a brain cramp when I was at the store and could not remember what size to get. When I put it on it looked a little big but seems to fit OK. I read the manual a little late and the stocker is a 100/100- 18. Should I take it back or run it? Thanks

You're fine, there's not enough difference to matter. 250's usually run 110's while 125's run 100's, I've heard it's so they can spin the tire easier to get up to revs. With your 220 being tuned for low-end torque, it'll pull the 110 just fine.

I am running a 110/100 18 on my 00' 200 and I like it better than the stock 100/100. I have no problem riding with this tire. I can lug the motor all day long on tight, rocky muddy single track. I tend to think that the wider tire gives you a bit more stability. just my 02. worth. Enjoy the new tire.

Finished a day of riding in the west desert Jericho/Cherry Creek area. The tire was different. Hooked up a lot sooner than the previous tires. I am used to getting more tire spin so it was an adjustment. Did not take long to be comfortable with the new big meat. Rode everything from loose rock single track with ledges to narrow sand washes. Had a problem on a couple loose rock hills that normally were OK. Would not spin up on the pipe fast enough while climbing so started dropping a gear lower a little sooner. Seemed to get better as the knobs wore down. All in all a great day of riding on the 756. A beautiful day in the desert.
