All of these are in Stillwater, I didn’t go beyond there. I purposely didn't list any doctors or hospitals, because we aint a gonna need any! :)

Now for my question for you Oklahomans…..which motels are decent? I plan to reserve a room for the entire week, basically for the shower and the chance of some REAL ugly weather. I just don’t want to share my room with roaches and mice. (Been there too many times) :|

Any of the chain motels are fine. I stayed in the Days Inn last time there, it's a room.

Thanks Okie. That's where I was leaning to begin with, I haven't had too many bad experiences with them.

If I go, I'm pulling up some dirt and cuddle up under a tree!

Yeah, not to mention Elk is used to that nice Cali weather. Me thinks it could really be a shocker on some October nights in the Mid West!

Days Inn, Motel Six, and Holiday Inn are all the closest. OSU's motel is probably the least convenient(parking etc).

Consumers IGA is the closest big food store. 6th street is Hwy 51, the main east west road, the road you take out to Cooperland, its a four lane all the way through town.

Can you just hang up your laundry outside your camper and have housekeeping pick it up and have it ready by riding time? Mints on the pillows too? :D

Just wondering in case I get hammertred at the campfire and sleep in tto long for laundry time. :p

These guys make me do all the cooking...well, I never let them cook, I'm afraid. So my mornings get hectic.

Has anyone checked the OSU collegiate schedule for that week? If there's a game, it might be tough to find a room.

No.......I stopped in the other day, first time in years. All I needed was a jet. No luck.

For the people who are not staying at the track will there be a paddock area to park the bikes so we don't have to load up every day? Does anyone know how close the campgrounds listed are from the track? Just trying get my stuff in one sock so to speak. :moon:

Dapper-The parking/camping area is right next to the track. It has to be at least 20 acres (I think?). I don't think bike security will be a problem. You will get to know your neighbors in short order, and just like in the previous two years, everyone will keep an eye on things. What I intend to do, is to just run my cable lock through the wheels of my bikes, just for my own peace of mind. But I have seen others just leave theirs sitting out in the open, unlocked in any way. Theft has not been an issue. Just another of the reasons that DW is so cool! :)
