DNR Spark Arrester / KTM 50 Mini Adventure

I just realized that my son's 05 KTM Mini Adventure 50 does NOT have a spark arrester on it :bang: .

Anyone familiar with adding one to this bike? Advice?

When I take off the end cap from the muffler it looks like you could put a screen over the hole and then bolt the cap back on. Would this satisfy the DNR "put a stick into your muffler" test?

I doubt it. If it dosn't say US forestry approved on the side you are SOL.

You may be able to get a cobra add on sparky for that. They are like $40. May be the cheepest route.

Got one from Dennis Kirk for about $70 (alot to pay for a screen - shoulda just taken one from my neighbor's bong :p ). Man - DK is fast -- got it to me in two days for $6.00 shipping!
