It gets much much worse if you have a newly purchased bike - I'm checking on mine every hour at least when at home. My wife thinks I'm going to wear out the garage door!!

She keeps asking where I disappear to.....

It's as bad as drugs!:p Yesterday, after not even looking at my bikes in a couple of weeks, I broke down and sat on the YZ. BAD THING TO DO!!!!:scream: I've been on it about four times since and am longing to go riding once again. The wife says I'm usually not this bad until the arenacross comes to town in Februrary!:( HHEEEELLLLPPPP!!!!!

I am very addicted!!

my wife asked me if i had a choice between my bike and her ,,i stopped and thought,, then said ,Well,, the good thing about the bike is, it doesn't talk back and the bad thing about it is, it doesn't give me any money, so I pick You my Dear,, with a smile...
You shouldve seen the stink eye she gave me....

I do it all the time! I just got my bike a few monthes ago, and whenever I get a chance, I'll go out to the shed just to stare at it, and imagine what it will be like when the cold goes away and I can start riding again.

I like to ride around with my bike in the back of the truck. After a really good ride, I wash the bike and look for an excuse to ride around for a while. I'll drive all the way across town just to get some chow, and then sit in the restaurant and admire my bike while I eat.

Since I dont get to ride much (see What Riding And Racing teaches Us!?!?!?) Sometimes I will push it around the driveway. And other times I will take a fouled spark plug and sniff it (when I cant go out to the garage to see it!) (yeah...I'm wierd)...Smells just like a running engine!

when i cant go riding i go to the pits with a shovel and clean up a bit. i feel so dumb walking around a 40 acre sand area with ashovel in 25 degree weather but hey ya gotta do what ya gotta do. i have my new practice track laid out for the 02 summer. prolly change it about mid august. i love that i have so much fun hauling around tires and shoveling the sand around while its frozen to fill in the whoops a little bit to make some of them a little easier to ride through since the trails can get nearly impossible to ride by the end of the summer. i also make jumps out of old cars and fridges and old scrap metal. its a lot of fun and kinda rids me of that itch to go riding atleast for a few days!;)

BUSTED! Yeah I do it too, sometimes I think I look for problems just so I have an excuse to go out and hang with my baby. BTW how many of you will also take chances to move up in traffic if you see another truck ahead with a bike in it , just to compare rides? Gotta go gonna load up my bike, there is a new strip mall down the way and the windows are real reflective (thnx MX547) glad to see I've fallen in with a group with the same desease I have.

Even worse

What's even worse is where I'm at, I sold my bike a while ago and now I just look into the empty garage and stare at my bike stand that is in the up position as if it's still holding her, I look through my tool box and dig through all my busted lever ends thinking about her, I miss her.....am I the only one that thinks my bikes are "her"s because I read some guys post and he calls his bike a he, that's just weird to me.

You guys with more than one know about the jealousy thing.. I have three and they all look at me as if to ask "Are you gonna ride me or one of the other b*****s?" But I do look at them all the time. And yes, I do speed up to look at someone elses bike..

Oh man i do all this stuff and i just started riding. Good to know i have a common disease. I think the funniest was when my friend broke his leg on a jump, but the first words out of his mouth were "are my bars bent?"
