warning to any crf450 owners, if you crash and your bike stays on it's side for too long or even gets just a little upsidedown, the ******* will not re-fire for a long time. i tried bump starting mine down a huge hill and it would still not fire, lucky for me there was a paved road nearby, so i got it bumped over on the pavement! what a pain in the ass!!!!!

Hot thumpers don't like to lay on their side - they'll flood and be a biiiiotch to restart. The new offroad thumpers are coming with E-start for that reason (even though the added weight is also a pain).

I think that's pretty much typical of every bike I have ever laid down and couldn't get it back upright fast enough.

The extra weight of the e-start is minimal when compared to the the pain of not getting the bike started, unless your a PRO rider most of us won't notice it

Next time try shutting off the gas and holding the throttle wide open, and when and if it starts, don't turn the gas back on until the bike cleans out.
