As I noted in another forum, I am a Jet Skier looking to get into Dirt Biking. I know there is a track in marion off of I-10 (10-15 mins from my house) and I would love to meet other Texas riders and watch before I jump into a purchase. I am 5'7 250lbs so I am gonna be looking at a 250cc, I think I am a bit big for a 125cc hehe. When are you guys gonna be riding next? I could bring my fiance and we could bbq or something..let me know.

You might go to one of their meetings and see what its all about. Its a great way to meet people in your area.

Dirt Bikers of San Antiono

You might go to some of the shops and get suggestions on were to ride and check the places out.

In choosing a bike you might ask what you want to ride (track or trails) and do you plan on competing. There are some great places to ride in Texas.

Some of the other guys in Smack Pack could also hip you on were to ride.

Check the places to ride forum. There are a couple of Texas rides in the works. Amarillo might be to far to come, but there is a ride planed in a couple of weeks there. Also, I think there is a Munster, Tx ride in the works. That would proably be closer for you as its just north of Dallas.
