Dunlop tire pen/sticker?

Hi,
I dont know what forum to ask this question in but I was looking at a test that DIRT RIDER did on a wheel set or something and the tires had dunlop on them in yellow. The tire fathest away looked as if it had a wrinkle in it. I was woundering if you could buy stickers or something to put on. I bought a yellow tire pen to colour them in because I though thats how they colour the letters in but I think I was wrong. It looks good from a distance but up close you can see all the imprefections on the tire. If it is a sticker dose anyone know where I can get some and if not any tips on colouring in the letters?

take all that money your spending on tire pens and put it into making yourself a better rider. ie: riding school, better protective gear, fixing the bike, making the bike faster. you get the idea;)

that $2.50 for the pen won't go very far towards improving his riding.

don't mind butt monkey, he's still tweaked about getting flamed so much recently for some bobo posts he made, and is trying to take his frustrations out on someone who he thinks knows less than him about dirt bikes (although none exist);)
Try yellow paint and a small artist brush. stickers will not stay on a tire
There is nothing wrong with having pride in your ride and making it look trick.

yea there is. its a waste of money. again my opinion. it doesnt have to be yours. but im just voicing mine. you need to stop trying to contradict my posts be bringing up old ones where i wasnt in the majority of the decision.:(

lochart makes white and yellow markers, it looks cool!!! only takes about five min. to mark the letter in. mark on dude !!!

hey butt monkey, I just saw your website and a pic of your bike, why did you "waste the money" on those cool LBZ. stickers, any why do you even have a graphics kit? after all it's a waste of money. I'll guarantee that your stuff cost more than the $3.00 that pen will cost. Oh yea, do you have new riding gear? why not buy three or four year old stuff, it's just as good and costs alot less, maby then you could put your money into antihypocritical school ( ask your teacher what that means).

The Yellow Dunlop is a rubber sticker, but these guys are right they don't last long. You'd be much better off with on of those tire pens.

Here's a question.
Do all the MXA bashings bother you or do you view it as a good thing becaus since they are always the longest threads here, you feel that lost of people are reading it. Sort of like madona getting herself ferr publicity and making everyone want to find out what all the hype is about?

You can also get them from socal decal, (the people that make the number plate decals all built into one)

Tire Pens

I love the way it looks and shows attention to details. No matter how fast you are a good looking bike is worth 10hp on the "butt dyno". The pens are cheap so buy 2 or 3 I like the white,the yellow pen is kinda bright but would look good on a blue yz with black fenders and a bent clutch lever:)

while you look at butt monkey's site, do a search fro his posts and read some of the stuff he's posted, you'll get a good laugh and also you'll see why I cracked on him for the comment he made above.
I agree that having a nice looking machine is very cool. It shows, as fastmaveric said attention to detail. Ever see a pro riding a bike that looked like crap? Having attention to detail also bleeds over into maintenance, generally if you keep it looking good, you keep it running good. Butt muncher has alot of maturing to do before he realizes those kinda things.

I painted my dunlops like that. I used a yellow paint pen that I had picked up at grainger some time ago. I looked good. No cracks or anything after the paint had dried. It did'nt take very long either, you just needed a steady hand.
The only problem was that it faded after about three rides:scream: .
Maybe the other paint pens mentioned above would hold up better but I don't know.
