First off id like to thank all of you guys for helping me in all the posts ive posted over the time ive been here.
Now for this post. At my local track i have a set of three jumps one after the other, the jumps look exactly the same.
The first one you hit i go top heavy and roll downwards into the ground almost as if i wanted to do an endo.
I have not crashed at this jump yet but i fear that it might just be round the corner. The two after that are fine and i can go as high as i want to on them :) . What i dont understand is that the jumps are the same hight and width.
Could you guys please tell me how to encounter that sort of jump.
Just for the record i keep the throttle constant.
Thanks in advance KLX_BOY.. :D

5 reasons for an endo come to mind...
  1. Not enough acceleration
Is it possible that you have too much of a run at the first jump and are not hitting it as hard as you do the others? If so, maybe take the inside of the previous turn and hit it accelerating harder.
  2. Hole or lip in the face of the jump
Inspect the takeoff of the jump closely. Look for lips, ridges, or holes in the face of the jump, particularly near the top. Also look to see how he transition from flat ground to the jump is. Check these things all the way across the jump from right to left. Try hitting it on different sides to see if that changes anything.
  3. Not enough rebound damping in rear shock
Since the bike behaves on the others, I doubt this is mch of a possibility.
  4. Too far forward on the bike
Nahh! :) Besides, a very forward position can be counteracted by enough throttle.
  5. Short takeoff
If the takeoff is sufficiently short that the front tire is already in the air by the time that the rear tire hits the jump face, it will kick the front down / back up violently. Basically look to see if the inclined portion of the jump is less that 8 or so feet (not the height, but the length of the ramp).
    [/list=1]
My guess is 2 or 5. Please let us know if / how you fix it.
