Jett Lawrence & Jason Anderson on top, Tomac's lead shrinks

The 2022 Supercross series moved East to the frozen tundra of Minnesota for round 7 and our first look at the other half of the 250 Class. Favorites Jett Lawrence, Cameron McAdoo, Austin Forkner, Jeremy Martin and R.J. Hampshire made their 2022 debut and the racing didn't disappoint. The younger Lawrence brother looked remarkably smooth and relaxed leading the majority of laps and booking his first win of the season. I couldn't help but think of Kevin Windham while watching Jett's silky-smooth, low-effort style.

In the 450's, the main looked locked-up with Chase Sexton fast-lapping with a comfortable lead over Jason Anderson, with less than 2 minutes left. Moments later, Sexton was stumbling around looking for his bike after tucking the front so hard it bent the rim launching him into the next jump face. Updated reports suggest that he didn't suffer an injury that would keep him out of the next round. So that's 3 wins for an inspired Jason Anderson so far, Eli Tomac maintains the point lead but finished off the box in 6th, with El Hombre pulling to within 3 points and Malcolm Stewart in 3rd, 20 points back.

Ken Roczen turned in another mediocre showing, finishing 40 seconds behind the leader in a disappointing 8th. What's up with KR?

Dylan Ferrandis finished 9th which is also his overall standing in the series points. At one point he lost control, had to roll a triple; unfortunately, his team mate Eli Tomac was in the wrong place at the right time, sending the points leader off the track...
