Engine issue - HELP

I ride a 1993 250 E/XC that I bought used a few years ago. Since the first day I got the bike it will not run correctly. At anything over 3/4 throttle and at the top 1/3 of the RPM range, the engine misses, breaks-up, will not run cleanly, etc. I have tried several different jets, both smaller & larger, changed plugs and other things but nothing seems to work.

Would love to hear suggestions.

the trouble is, most likely, electrical.

I'm going to agree with fuzz on this one! The early and mid 90's model KTM's had a problem with faulty stators. Just for fun, and because a replacement stator is expensive, check the reeds.
