Hi everyone,

my name is Alex, from Milan, Italy but live in Atlanta, GA. Had a 2 bad accidents on my ducati 749s (actually 2 different ducatis because they were destroyed each time.) Both times another driver caused accident because of them not paying attention. Thinking of turning to dirt for awhile and I'm looking to buy a 250 (ktm 250 exc?). Only experience is riding in the mountains in northern italy, but never jumped anything in my life. Still don't know the difference between an enduro, motocross etc. so I'll be checking the forums for these basic answers.

I love Italy - I've been to Cortina/Venice in Winter and Tuscany/Florence/Rome in the fall. Great skiing and an awesome honeymoon!

I did fly into Milan, but we didn't get to see it. :(

I really hope to go back again. . . and again . . .

You'll find a lot of help here. Welcome.

Welcome to the site

Be sure and go to your User CP and update information relating to your location, etc. After that grab a spot on the couch and tell us a bit about yourself.

One of our finest and friendliest members lives just to your east. Check out the Southern Spodes forum for opportunities to hook up with fellow DRNers.

As far as bikes go, any KTM is a good ride. I have a 400 4-stroke and a 200 2-stroke. They are both great bikes. Check out the What Bike Do I Get... ? forum for great information on what dirtbikes might suit your needs and desires. There is a great group of folks that hang out in there always willing to help a newbie to the sport.

Again, welcome to the site and shout if you have any questions!
