EXC 520 stolen

Friend of mines' 520 was stolen a couple of weeks ago, please keep an eye out!

00' EXC 520  -  vin # VBKEXM433YM511668 -  Stolen in the central New York, (Dutchess County) - stock plastic - factory connection suspension -

Guys, please keep an eye out for newly aquired 520's that fit this description.

I know once these bikes are gone, very rarely does the owner ever get them back.

Good News

A hunter spotted a dirt bike buried under some leaves while in the woods last week. That night he called his son, who happen to know the guy who's bike was stolen, the next day they went there and sure enough it was my buds 520. The bike is unscaved, cept for a scratch in the swingarm. They are now setting up a motion sensitive camera with a prop under the leaves to nab the punks that stole it.

Your bud is very fortunate. It's good to hear good news once in awhile in cases like these. I hope you guys nab the perps, and when you make your citizens arrest I hope they do something to cause you to have to defend yourselves. ("Officer, I hit him because when I tried to detain him he swung at me!") :p

Any chance you can get a copy of the tape if the punks are caught? Sure would make for great viewing :)

I'm not sure of the legality of the camera, (just happen to have a m.d. camera that we use for marking deer), or weather it'll even stand up in court, but at least we'll have a personal description of the twerps,...after that,...who knows, it may need to rated R. :p

It wouldn't be illegal to set up the camera, it's a sting. We sit on stolen cars here and wait for the thief to get back into it. It would be better to put the bike back in there, then jump them when they try to take it again. Have fun!!:)
