Family Friendly Places In - PA, VA, WV

I want to take some time to go riding June/July. My family (wife and 2 kids) want to go near a lake where they can play (canoe/fish). We live in the north east part of Maryland near the PA line. Important point, they are not fans of tent or pop-up camping. So, I need any recommendations of good trail riding or track and trail where I could rent a cabin or house near activities (lake, hiking, fishing you get the idea). I have looked at Hatfield and McCoy and trails could not be better, but all the good houses/cabins look like they are in town and just a place to rest and wash up for the next day of riding. Majestic Trails in PA might be OK, they have cabins on a lake and a waterpark for the kids. Any information or suggestions would be appreciated.

They don't have accommodations right at the trails but it looks like some will be staying at local hotels. It's in the Poconos so there is a wide variety of places to stay.
