My guess is this stat is also a by-product of why JBS also has the record for the 125 wins...because he spent an extra year on the 125s. An extra year of preparation is an extra year...regardless.
I suspect that there will still be some numbers and stats that JBS won't be able to claim at the end of his career.
What truely will define this whole thing beside "stats".......is if James can bring around the fan base like MC, and RC. Not many riders can do that. No question about talent, but the "other" factor is will he be able to lose the doubters.
10/20 years from now, will people think of him as like a Hannah, Johnson, Decoster, or?? Thinking back we don't think of Jeff Stanton, of Jeff Ward in the same way.
