Alright ladies... I, like Sarge, am going to start an all out assuault on my fat ass gut..... At DW02 I was in decent shape... 6'1" 190... Today I tipped the scale at 215lbs AND I AM STILL THE SAME HEIGHT! That's 25 pounds heavier than I was just a month and a half ago

Well it starts today.... eat once daily, somedays not at all if I aint seeing the results I need.... Running everyday, riding a few times a week and less time in this God for saken chair at work.... 80+ hours a week in front of the computer aint the way cave men stayed fit. I need to go to Montana for a few months with only a pocket knife and some dental floss.... eat what I kill and if I don't kill anything I just don't eat. Damn it I hate getting old... this stuff never used to creep up on me like this.

My goal is: 185-190 with a bit more muscle mass than I have now.... I want to accomplish this by the new year....

Anyone want to join me on this quest to fit into our jeans with out having to buy bigger ones? Motivation is needed.

i am with you thump. i am 6' 2" and i topped out at 235, i got down to 210 but ive gone back to 220! ive had loads of work and also a apartment move so i havent even seen a vegatable in about 4 weeks, but have managed to get throughseveral cases of beer and lots of take away food.

my goal, to get below 200lbs.

i hope to ride again this weekend and then get back into the new gym at the start of next week as we get unpacked.

good luck

ps. dont skip meals, especially breakfast. you will lose weight fast, but it will all be water. then 4 weeks later after your metabolism slows down you may have gained weight. I am gonna hit the protein hard and do soime bigger weights to get some muscle since thats the stuff that burns the fat.

good luck

Hmmmm . . . I can't remember what "under 200 lbs" feels like . . .

I'd settle for getting down to two-fitty, but this time of year is not very conducive to outdoor exercise. I don't like cold & wet. Call me a weenie.

I'm with ya! A couple months before DW I was 205 to 210. I started running everday and watching what I eat. I dropped down to 180 by DW. Now I am about 185. I would like to put on a few pounds, but of the muscle mass variety not the talbe mass version.

Let the motivation begin!

I'd like to have CAL's waistline and Sarge's arms. Instead, I have Dom DeLuise's waistline and a gradeschool girl's arms... :(

The back of my neck looks like a pack of hotdogs.
The last time I got my shoes shined, I had to take the guy's word for it.
I jumped up in the air and got stuck.
I went dancing and made the band skip.
My senior picture was an aerial photograph.
My beeper went off and some kid screamed, "LOOK OUT! He's backing up!"

Bruce, where did you get my supre secret diet regime? I was 216 last spring but a summer full of riding I am down to a nice fit 185. Of course that will be a fleeting memory after the holidays :)

i learned that diet at uni, (well, highshool but took it with me to uni) but for some daft reason i never got over 190! i used eat all day, like a horse, at least five pints of beer a night and never trained.
maybe all of them sweaty raves i used to go to wernt a bad thing afterall?
For me it all went wrong around the age of 25 which coincided we me stopping smoking.

Chicken on the BBQ at my house next time... then we can discuss the covered patio too!

Just went down and re-activated my membership at 24hr Fitness. The assault has begun.... no eating today, tuna fish tomorrow... and lots of sweat, pain and tears.... plus a trip to the ortho to see how much further we need to go with the shoulder I injured at DW... prolly get an MRI done cause it still hurts like bastage!

I wake up at 4:45am and leave the house at 5:30am.... how could I possibly get up any earlier? 5 & 6 hours sleep daily is about the minimum I can exist on.

I need to increase my endurance by getting on the track and pounding out large numbers of good paced laps (like I did last summer). I also need to hit the moutain bike during the week. I could use loosing some weight but I haven't gained but a couple of pounds since DW so I'm not too far off where I was last year at this time. Endurance needs to be my focus.... and of course, the weight will come off with the added activity.

Tell you what.... I'll help you by constantly making fun of your weight if you will slow down on the track so that I'll quit trying to keep up and can concentrate on putting in time vs speed. :)

you guys think it's bad now. Wait until you have to attend all the kid's games, concerts, etc... and see how your diet/fitness routine goes. Look on the positive side Thump! Next year you will be the fastest in the donelop MX. :)

Tony, what in the world are you talking about? What did I miss, here? Wondering because my family used to have about 1150 acres in Sheffield, Tx near Ozona. Spent most my summers there on the Pecos River (creek!). And I have family that live in Sanderson and Dryden down below there.

thump: dont just stop eating, this will make the weight more difficult to lose. Dont cut out carbs either, low carbs is fine but no carbs is not so good. If you are going on the high protein, dont forget loads of water!

don't sweat it bcl, thump knows how to dump the weight. let me nutshell it for all you ameture(pronounced am- i -tour) physiologists, you all are adressing the metabolism issue, fine, but work+muscle mass= maintained metabolism. anyway, thump, wana feel good about yourself, go look at some of the pics of me at turkey bay. the one where i'm sitting with my feet up...looks like i'm playing hide the pumpkin. i'm with ya bro...i'm in at 205 lbs today, goal weight, 175. i use chromium, carb blocker and fat blocker. that stuff works if you work out. no excercise in a bottle, just a lil help. remember frog, the only easy diet was the last diet.! :worship: this guy pays me homage because i've obviously figured out to hide him and his whole family under my shirt!
