Finally got my bike!

I finally found it! And with a good price to boot as well. I got a '99 YZ125 for $2500. The guy that works there (Tousley Motorsports, MN-- HUGE place) thought it was listed at the wrong price. He checked and it was listed at $2500. If you ask me, this was a steal! What does everyone else think? ( Came with new back tire, pro-circuit pipe/silencer (no dents!), Renthal bars, new plastic, and a few other goodies)

Did the '99 YZ's say YZ on the flair? I thought they said Yamaha..... I might be wrong though.

Sharp looking bike, and from where im sitting you got it at a steal. take care of it and it will last forever. I got my 00' kdx for 3000 last year, just 20 miles on it and no scratches, anywhere, yeah you can find them if you just wait.

The last bike I bought, about 2 mo. ago- 99 CR125 exc. condition, 1 small scratch on rear fender - $1500- couldn't believe it. It came out in the paper I snatched before the print dried. Made for one happy 13 yr.old son.

Congrats, man! I, for one, am envious. It's a sweet looking bike, and that is a great price. I know exactly how excited you are. Now that you got yours, wish me luck in my quest. I've got a ways to go, the wife and kids keep bleeding me dry. :eek:

Zio and Fleshwound, thanks for the kind words. If dirtweek just had people like a454elk, or roosterboy there, I wouldn't go there in a million years. That would be hell. Thankfully there's people out there like you two. And that's exactly why I plan on going next year.

Zio- you told me to wish you luck, well, here it is: Good luck on your new bike-hunt endeavor ;). What kinda bike you lookin' for? If I ever see something, maybe I can give you the heads up. :)

Id say that a 99 yz125 with that stuff in good working condition is worth a little over 3 grand in a fair deal, but who said it should be fair?:confused:

Dude, it'll be a while before I have the cash. Once you get two kids and a new house, something always comes up that puts toys on the back burner. This time around it's $2000 in car repairs in the last 2 months. Christmas is coming up soon, followed closely by Wifey's b-day. But all hope is not lost- we're refinancing our home and should be able to pay off ALL our debt (with the exception of a car loan), which means that after the $2500 playset we want ot buy the kids, motorbike here I come! Don't get me wrong, either. I wouldn't trade what I've got for all the dirtbikes in the world.

hey Moto, read your bio, you play hockey? I gotta ask- are you a Dallas Stars fan? I played with a guy from Minnesota, and he's a Stars fan. I went to hockey camp a looooong time ago, got to play with Don Baupre (sp?) and Brian Lawton.

We're Sharks fans (dumbest fans on the earth), but not to worry, my pop is a Canadian and he taught me well. He's 55 and still winning draws agianst 19 year olds (they freak out when they see his gray hair after the game:scream: )

And I HATE the Stars! Why? They used to be the Minnesota North Stars, they sucked, and then they go to Dallas to win a Cup. Now we have the Wild, so it's all good in the hood! I'm thinkin' they might have a decent year.

They play non-contact (yeah, right), so no hits, but he's mean as hell when someone slashes him. Put it this way- I'm still afraid of him and I have 5 inches and 40 lbs on him. My uncle recently had to quit because he was still getting into too many fights. The two of them have really bad tempers (my dad's is only on the ice, thankfully). And the young guys really get mad when they get beat by a 55 year old, so he's always having to defend himself.

I play with him sometimes (He centers, left hand draw) and I play left D, which is a blast on face-offs. I've got quite a few goals from one-timers on his draws. :cool:

oh, and sweet pic by the way. Glad you hate the Stars. They're our #1 enemy. The Sharks aren't looking too good in the pre-season, we'll see how they do tomorrow night in the opener.
