First race of the season last week at Gopher Dunes. Crash32 called and woke me up to go, otherwise I would have just been a couch potato for the day. ;)

Was probably the coldest race I have ever been to. There was almost no sunlight for the most part, and windy as hell. Managed to get a few keepers, but my ratio was way goofy. I threw away about 1 for every 40 with my 1D, but 10 for every 40 with the MkII. I sure hope I get this thing sorted out soon, or off to Canon it goes. How was your ratio Davey?

Here's a few keepers.

Those look exactly like the conditions I ride in now: cold and sandy. Great shots  The before last one is sick.

Probably because she is staring at the ground and her right hand is coming off the handlebars.

*Fixed the sex issue.

Nah, she dumped it, but she did remount and make a charge to win the moto. That #7 on her bike is her national number.

those are some darn good keepers :)

I had the same problem to day with bad keeper ratio.

might have been combination of near focus range, panning and the "angular velocity" of the riders. somtime I think contrast situations also come into play
