For a ‘91 200
CD’s site Fredette suggests the .33kg springs from an earlier KDX. PS doesn’t suggest oil level which may also help pindick a page or so back.

Does anyone know the rating of the std 89-93 springs? The kawasaki US site doesn’t list any specs for older bikes.

This would be useful if it’s in a manual somewhere. Saves me calcuguessing. (want to increase the rate of the spring by cutting it down & making up the length removed. Yes this does increase the spring rate).

PS: Just changing the seals & find my fork legs are bent after telling some other chap how to straighten them, how ironic!

David,
Jeff set me up with 'take off' .35 springs recently, for about 50us$.
thay are markedly stiffer than the .30 stockers on '91. He includes oil weight and height recommendations. I belive the '89s were slightly stiffer and may be the .33's you mention, and '93/94 were usd so they don't apply.

I seem to remember checking into this before and finding the stock 1995 to 2001 KDX200/220 fork springs will fit the 89 to 92 KDX200s. Let me have a look at it again and I’ll get back to you. The stock 95+ springs are 0.35kg/mm units.

Thanks guys, much apprec’d. .3 is what I needed to know. I cut my springs last night to up the spring rate to .33. :)

Still wouldn’t mind a guess at the oil level. They look the same as 88 forks so I guess 4.5-5” would be the go.
