Frame Sealing

Where my boots rub against my frame a little bit of rust is starting to build. I was wondering if I should sand it off with metal sand paper and then seal it with something like a strong chain wax. Any input?

Sand it down and paint it. Then get some frame guards. thats what there for.
Or else you can just leave it alone. When you ride your boots will rub the rust off and make a nice shinny metal spot. I guess if your not going to ride the bike for a while you could rub it with oil to keep it from getting to rusty.
