I HAVE A 2000 KDX 200 WITH FMF WOODS PIPE BOYSEN REEDS.
I HAVE A 45 PIOLT JET AMD A 155 MAIN JET.
I JUST INSTALLED THESE ITEMS YESTERDAY.
IM USEING GOLDEN SPECTRO OIL.
BEFOR THE MODS I WAS RUNING THE FUEL MIX AT 50:1 THE BIKE RAN RICH.
IF I WANT TO USE THE GOLDEN SPECTRO OIL WHAT RATE SHOULD I MIX THE FUEL?
OR DOES ANYONE THINK THERE IS A BETTER OIL AND OR MIXING RATIO FOR THE KDX WITH THESE MODS ETC????
THANKS SPARKEY.
I used to run Golden Spectro, it tends to leave the valves very dirty, but otherwise is a fine oil. I now run Yamalube R at 32:1, and it seems to run a little crisper, and the valves stay much cleaner. I would definitely not run less than 32:1.
i was running belray H1R at 40:1 but had a bit of ash build-up in my fmf pipe as i guess is normal for full synthetic, so i now am running yamalube 2r semi synthetic at 40:1 and its great, i cant see running any oil with less than 40:1 unless you enjoy doing topend work, i think 40:1 is a good conservitive mix for a synthetic or semi synthetic oil, that has proved itself to be the ticket for me time and time again.
