manual says to use sae 10w-40, but this is making my clutch slip and hard to adjust for freeplay, basket is alright, new plates and cable, what oil are you using and having good results with??

It's not the oil that's making it slip. You probably need new springs.

I ran nothing but Bel-Ray 80w Gear Saver in my CR125 and had ZERO clutch problems in the year I had it. I gave it oil changes about every 2-3 rides (10hrs). Engine took 850ml but I gave it the whole quart.
