Since I haven’t owned a dirt bike in awhile, I need to purchase everything. So I’m hoping people that are a little more up to date than me can give me there .02. I ordered boots the other day, Fox Tracker; picked up a helmet today, HJC AC-X3 Agent, but I still need a chest protector, and gloves. I have been looking at the EVS Sports BJ22 Ballistic Jersey, but I’m not sure if I wouldn’t rather have a more traditional type, like the Fox Racing Airframe Roost Deflector. For gloves I like the looks of the EVS Wrister, with the built in wrist protection, but haven’t been able to find a pair to try on. Also, since I haven’t been riding, and my bones are a little older these days, I was thinking of using knee and elbow pads for the first time in my life, but it looks like they are all over the place as far as price. What does everyone else like?

Any thoughts or comments on the above are much appreciated thanks.

The EVS has the elbow pads, as well as a kidney belt, built in. Upgrade to the 22 Ultra for lower spine support. With regards to kneepads, braces would be better, but are pricey, EVS and 662 have some pretty nice mid grade stuff (the EVS Strata looks promising). And don't forget a neck roll, perhaps the EVS RC2 since it is the only model number of its type that I know.

I wore mine all summer with no complaints, I just take it off when I get off the bike. When the bike is in motion, the air flows right through it.
