gearing

Hey all, I have read about changing the front sprocket to a 12 for more low end, and changing the rear to 50 etc, my question is, my first gear is about useless now,(no hills here in Myrtle Beach.) Has any one gone the other way with sprockets? When I wheelie in 3rd I run out of gear real quick, I have a 02 220 with a fmf rev and air box mod. any suggestions?

I used to ride really fast on dirt roads here and I used a 15/45 combo. It was fast but it stank at motocross. Now for MX I use 13/49 and for street riding 15/49.
