So my piston is coming tuesday and im getting an overbore of .001" just to clean up the rust because the bikes been sitting for a long time. Still need to order gaskets but my dads lazy, hes got all summer I want a bike to ride now! My question is does the length of time between heat cycles matter?

The first thing we're doing is trying to get the engine to run and then we need new sprockets, cables, nitrogen refilled in the shock, shock oil etc.

So if we get it running can I do the first heat cylce by using whats left of the throttle cable (it snapped at the perch) and giving it varying RPM bursts and then let it sit for awhile until I get the rest of the parts?

And do I need any oil at all in the crank to prevent seizing of the crank or is that all bearings that need to be greased.

Thanks
