GNCC bike of choice?

I wouldn't mind following the GNCC series this coming season. Question is would a 250cc+ bike really be the bike to have?

While riding some tight single trails over the weekend on my 05 CR250...all I could think about is how nice a really light 125 2-stroke would be in the trails.

Is the 250-450 power really needed in the trails?

What would the down side be of having a 125 in the trails?

Could a 125 be competative in a hairscramble race?

I really top rider can win with a 125cc bike depending on the class. I'm riding an 05 YZ 250 and I do prefer the lighter feel to the 450F. Race what ya' brought!

I'd like to try a KTM 200. Seems to be a good balance of light and powerful. But, I've only lusted after a few on the showroom floor. They didn't offer me a test ride.
