I just received news that a member just bought ANOTHER bike. Now don't get me wrong, I think it is great. But what is he telling his wife? You see, he bought a bike in April (still has it) and bought a new truck in August (desiel, 4x4, ext. cab).
I've met his wife and she is very nice and supportive but I just can't picture her reaction to the purchase of another bike. Besides, he still hasn't got her Christmas gift yet (the bike is not for her, I assure you)!
To top things off, at our last ride, he made some snide remark about green bikes. Back at you dude. Unless you're changing ALL the plastic and repainting the frame, KX's are GREEN. Isn't Xmas for the kids? The shame of it all.

If you can't beat'em join'em. Every one I ride with seems to have green you, craig-enid(he has 2), my son, my wife. The bike seemed like a good deal, while she didn't jump for joy she seemed to understand that it was a good deal, or so it seems to be. Everyone seemed to talk highly about having two bikes when I questioned it awhile back. Craig_enid suggested a mx bike since I had a "three stoke" woods bike in the GasGas. Here's the desciption of the bike the guy posted. Let me know what you think. Be honest.

Life is good....if I don't get the raise I've been promised it might be for sale very soon.

Bike is in excellent condition ready to ride or race. Bikes equipment, pro tapers, pro circuit platinum pipe, pro circuit shorty muffler, hinson clutch basket, dunlop 756's, ims pro footpegs, works connection skid plate,3.66 gallon ims tank, extra air filter, pivot works rear linkage bearing set still in wrapper,2 extra sets of stock bars, stock tank and plastic, bike stand, new graphics and seat cover in flo green from n style, bike just broken in with new wiseco pro lite top end kit, renthal chainwheels with regina 520 gold chain, stock springs for forks ,susp work done recently by midwest race products, extra pro circ plat pipe that has some dents, stock pipe that has some dents-fastline frt brake line, bike is ready to ride and has had only gear saver 80w oil changes every 2 hrs of use and only H1R 2 stroke oil used for pre mix. Filter serviced every ride. Title not available but I think I still have MSO.

What gearing do you guys run? It has 13/48 I think. It also has springs for a 235lb rider in the woods. Will these be better for me(205 no gear) on a MX track or are the stock ones better? I would love to get the suspension done this winter but the GG is still top dog in the stable and gets that first.

Looks like we will have to convert MX/Preacher/coach/547 and get Lorin and Sawblade on green and then the Heartland Spodes will be Team Green.

I have got to tear the GG down tommorrow. I have been putting it off for weeks. I have no money now for anything......but grease and oil is cheap.I hope to get some money for Christmas to do my suspension on it.

I run 13/49 and it's just right for the track, but not so good for down on the farm.

13/50. The big bore likes this gearing. 13/47 will get you some speed. You'll probably be fine with the suspension, just have to stiffen it up some on the compression.

I WILL keep the GG. MX547 helped me decide to get it. That's what I'm telling my wife, "See Honey, Jay has been talking to me about that MX stuff, and then he tells me this bike is priced right, and that I really should get it, Brian has a KX, don has a KX, heck Craig has two kawi's, come on honey don't be mad" Will this work guys?

Anyone wanta trade sprokets?

I really don't know what it is. Boy I feel stupid typing that. I just might be willing to do that. If it's not something that I "need". Anything I can pawn off will convince the wife that I'm right about it being a good deal. Have I said that I haven't told her. :uh: She's not home right now.:ugg:

I would suggest, a nice dinner, all the dishes done, the laundry folded and put away, the house clean, flowers, diamonds, maybe an alternate place to sleep for the next few days.

I guess I have the Tailgator.....;)

We actually talked about it the other day. I am getting a single pay note for 6 Months, at the end of that time if finances dictate I'll sell it. Surely I can get $2900 for it.

as a matter of fact, i was in a kawie shop today. cashed in my gift certificates for some goodies. got a rear 756, tube, ratio rite and spark plug courtesy of ascot mx park and kawasaki of fayetteville. i didn't get to see any green bikes though. they were all parked outside in the rain. they told me that since it's q u a d season, the q u a d s get the prime display areas. sawblade is talking red for next year. lorin seems happy with his current bike.

I may have to give you $2900 for it, provided you actually ride on the pipe some:p . I would hate to think you might be skeared riding a bike with a POWERBAND.

Hmmm bswift........That's funny........:think
I had thought that this would be the first year in awhile that if the weather was good enough I wouldn't be riding before I opened presents.I'll have the GG apart then. I guess I might just have to haul the new toy south for a Christmas ride.:) Have I said that life is good?
Atleast till the wife gets home.

:think Ok mx, just watch it. I can tell I'm not going to be able to let you guys around my wife for a while. The guy told me after I bought it today that he had a guy coming to look at it today if it didn't sell online. It was at 600 higher than I paid.

What kind of accomodations does mike have? Weather permitting, we might be able to get the motorhome if it is not on its way to Florida.
