My new GYT-R exhaust is hitting the engine case. It hits it right at the kickstarter area.

Has this happened to anyone or know of anyone who has had a simular situation?

Or Did I install it wrong??

My stock pipe would twist in after a crash.
I would just twist it back out to clear everything.
Maybe if you can't twist it clear you can recut the flange on the header to angle the pipe differently?
Pipes are such a trip...

SFO, The GYT-R have that lame strap with a rubber strip to protect it. Its a pain to adjust, maybe thats where I messed it all up? I didn't crash on it. YET....hehe

When I first installed the GYT-R pipe it did come very close to hitting the engine case. What I did was loosen the head pipe and twist it some. That brought it up off of the engine about 1/4 inch.

I have also been working on an insert for the pipe to make it quieter so I can ride in the parks with out any worry of the DNR. It works similar to the big gun insert. Contact me if you are interested or if you have any questions.
