Well, as for the trails, you will find a mixture of rock, clay and some sand. The trails range from 4X4 roads to squirrel paths. This is one of my favorite places to ride. There are challenging trails with rocky hill climbs that will challenge everyone. I have seen good riders give up on some trails. We have some favorite spots in Bear Wallow. We have some video!!! We have ridden the Logan and Man trails in the past. Man is not worth going to. If you are over 60 and on a quad, it may be a fit. We are going to ride the Williamson trails this coming weekend. Email me in a week or so and I can give you a report. I don't think it will be favorable though. The map does not have enough black trail to suit me.

As for the escort. I may get a small group together and go. You will surely have the trails figured out by the time the weekend rolls around and won't need us. The trails are marked better than any other I have seen. You will have no problems. My advice is to stick with the Logan (Bear Wallow) area. They have added some new trail and it is black and single track:) I am looking forward to our trip this weekend.

Better make sure that you have spark arresters. We are equipped and have had no problems. There are administration people on the trail system and you might be asked to put one on if you are without. Everyone seems very friendly and helpful. If you think about it. It is the right thing to do anyway. If you set a fire accidentally, it might jepordize the riding for everyone.

Now I sound like Smokey Bear. See ya

Thanks.

Hi Greenman,

Thanks for the info. I was starting to get worried that there wasnt any DNR`s around there.
You mentioned some maps in your post, can you tell me where to get a copy?
Maybe there is a website that you can download maps from?
Anyways thanks once again.

later

Check out www.trailsheaven.com. Maps are there under area information. Print them out on a color printer and laminate them. They are a almost a necessity in Bear Wallow. Enjoy the trip. I will post some VIDEO before too long. We have some of it already however we will be using the helmet cam this trip. Should be some great stuff.:p
