I can completely flat foot a Honda CRF 230L with no problem whatsoever. I'm looking to purchase a Street Legal dirt bike. How is a 1997 Honda XR400 for my height: 5' 7''? Also, are they easy to lower? And how many pounds extra does an XR400 weigh in comparison to a 250 or crf 230? Thank You.

moving . . .

and the XR400 is probably the same weight as the CRF230, but it's not street legal without some work.

you can raise the forks in the tripleclamps, and maybe change the preload out back to lower it. They are a pretty tall bike, but bulletproof.

I just looked around a little bit and found out that the seathight is 36.6 inches lowered all the way and that should be fine if i can touch a little bit on a yz250f which is 39 inches seat hight and i am only 5"3

PS: That is for the 2004 xr400

I'm 5'7" too, a 39" seat is high but manageable, so 36.6 shouldnt be a problem. The XR's have a beefy seat too, you could probably shave it if the bike seems tall.
