i bought a Flip video minoHD camcorder for $200. excellent quality for the money. there is a "action mount" as seen here

since the camcorder stands straight up and isnt aerodynamic if it is a suitable camcorder for a helmet cam.
i also heard the Velcro isnt that strong so that posses a problem.
