What kind of editing programs do you have?

Cropping the page size down is a good way and compressing the image will reduce the size.

Re: Resizing pix.

Most every computer has "Paint". Click the start button, then "Programs", then "Accessories", and then "Paint". You can then open any jpeg or gif or bmp file and manipulate it. Crop it, resize it, etc. Use the "Image" button at the top to check the pixel size by clicking "Attributes" under that button. That is also where the "Stretch/Skew" command is. Clicking that will let you resize the pic by a certain percentage of your choosing. When you're done with it, click "File", "Save As" and then save it as a JPEG as these take up much less disc space than do gif's or bmp's. A little experimenting with paint and you will find that there is quite a lot that can be done with such a basic program.
Good luck.
