Help needed with Xr200 forks

My brother has a 2002 xr200r wich he got into a head on colision with and bent one of the fork tubes, its bent bad enough that no one will bend it back because it may break. The bent are is right above the bottom triple clamp, on the inner/upper fork tube.

its 233$$ for a brand new tube.

I found a set of 1982 forks on Êbay ￾ off an Xr200


Will these fit, is there any way of telling? Will just the upper stubes fit???

any help would be greatly apreciated.

Go to www.racetech.com and look for parts for each bike and compare. I am thinking they won't be the same size.
