Help removing throttle cable!!!

This seems so simple but for some reason I can't get it apart. I'm trying to get the throttle cable out so I can replace it with a new one and I can't get it out!! My service manual doesn't go into detail on this so I thought I would ask. Its on a 89 CR250.

Here's a pic of what I'm having a problem with... cable

The arrow is pointing to the piece that I can't figure out how to get out. I don't want to He-man it out of there, and I don't want to cut the cable.

I got it - just had to pry the hell out of it!!
