An off road bike is for trails and is usually a four stroke, a mx bike can be either a 2 stroke or a 4 stroke but they are used for racing. I think a kawasaki klx110 would be a great bike for you to start with. Youll grow out of it in a year prolly but then you can move to some faster more powerful bikes.
