Each person is different, as mentioned earlier, it takes my body at least 2 days to recover (so I would never considered doing something like bench press every day, or even every other), some poeple take less. Try this routine out for starters, then you can adjust accordingly. Obviously you can change the days around and mix and match just make sure you have 2-3 days between workouts for a body part, especially the larger ones that take longer to recover (chest, quads), but here is what I am doing now:
4-day week:
Mon: Chest/Triceps
Wed: Shoulders/Biceps
Thurs:Back/Legs
Fri: Chest/Biceps (b/c these are my 2 favorite areas right now)
or
3-day week:
Mon: Chest/Triceps
Wed: Shoulders/Back
Fri: Chest(4 set max bench)/Legs/Biceps
You can do abs at least everyother day, some people feel fine doing them everyday. And Cardio you can do every time you are at the gym too. And don't forget there are 3 things required for good health and gains in the gym....Exercise, Nutrition, and Rest.
