Hi all, I am new to the forum, I really like the looks of it!! I just bought a KDX 220(for my son :D ). I just got back from a ride this afternoon, and had to spout off.
I own a 2001 KX 250, and this 98 KDX 220. The KDX has the 200 carb on it, and FMF Gnarly pipe. It has a new top end, but that is about it. I rode a hare scrambles course that I usually race in the fall, and rode both of my bikes back to back.
I can say , without a doubt, that the KDX is"Da Bomb" :aj: !!! I love my KX, don't get me wrong, but I sliced through the woods like a knife thru hot butta on the KDX. If I could get the power of my KX out of this KDX, I would probably be ice racing it too!!
i did have different tires on the 2 bikes, which may contribute somewhat( The KX has NEW Dunlops 752's, The KDX has NEW Mich M12's)
I guess now I know why all you guys on the KDX's are pasing me up about half way thru an Enduro, or Hare Scramble, they are almost like cheating! Later!! Dave
