Hi rpm bog

Hey there everyone, just wondering if slightly clogged exaust will cause my kdx to bog down a little at high rpm, bottom range is fine but can't figure this one out.

yes----and other things can do it also. start cheap with new packing and work your way up the $ scale

When you say "bog down" do you mean a cut out kind of hesitation (lean condition) or does it "4-stroke"-- kind of a "missing" problem (rich main jet condition)?

Pull the choke on in the upper RPM ranges and see if it gets worse or improves. Most models of KDXs come too rich on the main jet from the factory. You may need to drop the main jet a couple of sizes to clean things up on the top end. BTW, how's the filter look?

I would say the 4 stroke condition but its hard to describe, kinda flattens out seems like a valve float in a car at hi rpm, i'll try the choke thing and get back as well the main jet is a 162.5 stock from the book jet . Probably way to rich.
