Honda Progressive Steering Damper

I haven't heard a peep and a search reveals nothing about the stock steering damper on some of the new Hondas.
I'm curious how well those things work and whether it's worth trying to adapt one to fit on my '06 CRF250X?
I know that there are plenty of excellent after market steering dampers out there, but like the looks of the little piston dealy, how well it's hidden, and the idea that it was designed specifically for that particular production line.
Any thoughts?...

Has to be the simplest smartest damper ever, tidy installation, nothing to slip or bind, but a lot of work to fit.I haven't used any dampers but if I was going to it would be the Honda one. (even if they don't make 2 strokes)
