How close is the 03 RM250 compared to the 04?

I can get a good deal on a 2003 RM250. I hear the 04 is great so how close is the 03? My main interest is how well the engine compares .... mostly in the low-mid rpm

I have had an 03 RM250 for about 3months, everything is stock apart from the jetting and a scotts damper and tripple clamps.
This thing has so much power, it will rip your arms off if your not careful, a real exciting bike. No complaints here. Never ridden an 04 but if its anything like the 03 you are on to a good thing :-)

Similar but they get better each year on the Rm(unlike most brands) the 05 is better again.

the 04 is miles ahead on the 03 in many departments. i would think in resale also! ;)
