I just kinda stumbled in . . . basically the way I live my life.

Then I became the thing that wouldn't leave :joke:

I said I didn't remeber but I could have sworn that I saw the link in some dirt bike magazine. I was a real newbie to the internet when I first saw it so I doubt I even knew what a search engine was!

Darn, it sounded like something more fun than that. :yeehaw:

CaNaDiAn,Eh?

I was searching for KDX stuff on the net and ended up at Canadian Dave's site, I was just kinda lookin around and after awhile I found the forums. I've posted on other forums before but this is the only one that I've actually liked enough to stay on. The other sites I was on usually ended up being a place for people to fight over which brand of bike was better, I remember one that is probably still going on, they were fighting about whether a DR200 could beat a CR 125. This is a great site keep up the good work!

I marked "link on another site", but that's not really true.
I was reading RMD one day & saw a thread where a guy was whinning about Okies's site. I figured if the author of the thread hated this "site" so much it must be good (author was dork). Been here ever since. :thumb:

I read an article in TWMX about Dirt Week and decided to check it out. The article painted a pretty good image of DRN (compared to the other MX forums i'd seen before) which is exactly what i was looking for.

A noun or a verb? Hmmm, never did do well at English, couldn't figure them things out. They were foreign. Got me totally lost for learning other languages.

Old guy made me do it.! He made me buy a ticket for somebody selling this MOMMA Thingy, or what ever, but it was for a good cause! couple weeks later I get this T shirt in the mail from that raffle, so I figured I better check it out for real!

So know I look forward to taking my kids out of school every fall to go dirt bike riding for 5 days straight :flame: and to hang with a bunch of great people :thumb:

Why thank you! Even though it was published with someone else's name on it, I wrote that article with help from Randy (motohead00). :thumb:

lol. "someone else" is Thump if I recall... that was an error on Swap's part. It was good stuff, maybe we'll do again for '04? We'll make sure proper credit is given!

I volunteered to help build a website for our racing series. Never mind that I knew absolutely nothing about HTML or how to do it. Anyway, the guy that I was helping said that he found a place that would host our site called dirtrider.net. So I started working on the website. The first graphic that I put up was huge.

Okie e-mail me to let me know that he resized it. I asked him a bunch of very elementary questions via e-mail about web building and FTP and stuff like that. So our website led me to the forums.

Back then, I was a big reading sometime poster on RMD, and I was living in England. I was reading all of Eric's articles in the British DB mags that I got.

Pretty quickly, it was a lot less time on RMD and more on DRN, then the war broke out. Whatever.

I got to know Thump too; he helped me out with some logo design for the website too.

I asked Bullwinkle where RRohrich was and he told me he was here. At the time user ranking were based on post counts and I made A class my first day and tried to rub it in. I'm surprised I didn't get banned!

MX Tuner practically stopped posting on RMD and so did Rich so I e-mailed Tuner and he told me about DRN.

Then I got on and was a total newby spaz, grew into an annoying punk but later matured to a half-decent old fart :)

Meet at couple guys at the local MX Track. They told me they were members of this site and suggested I look you guys up. I'm glad I did. Keep up the good work....oh, how can I get a bumper sticker? I love my truck, I've only got one bumper sticker on it (it says "screw you and your inner child", it's kinda my motto :moon: ), but I'd love to have one for this site.
