How do you make a link to your pics?

I've tried putting the link in my sig but you can't click on it. I see some people use a word like "pictures" to click on them in their sig lines but I don't know how. Can anyone help a stupid HTML illiterate old guy?

Fred, Fred, Fred...

This picture thing is really kicking your butt, isn't it?:D Just messin' with ya!
It's kind of hard to show you without it actually making the link happen. If you have a page/picture to link to and you want to have it appear to be a word rather than the actual address, here's what you do:

Word to click goes here [/url <--at the end put the other bracket, like this: ].

Also, you can put the [/b around your word to make it bold or use "i" to italicize it, or both. Just remember to put the closing bracket ( ] ) around it to complete the maneuver!

If you want to do it in a post, you can use the "http://" button and it will have you type or paste the url and then text to click (optional) in a pop-up window. Practice a few times with it and it becomes second nature.
I hope I did that right!

See below, do these settings make a difference in my sig. I cannot seem to find a place to change these settings.

Here is what you have:

Here is what it should be:
{url=http://www.webshots.com/go?myphotos}pictures{/url}

Except, use the squared-off brackets instead of these: {} . That should work.

I'm gonna give it a try here to see if it will work:

The link works, Fred, but it takes you to the WebShots home page. Copy-paste the url for your page in place of what is there and it should work.
As far as the option that are on or off, I am going to take a look at it right now to see what difference it makes. I'm kinda new at this also, but I'm a lernin'!

That is how mine reads, also. Once you get the address to your page, and format the link correctly, you should be in business!

Fred, I fully expected balloons and confetti to fall from the ceiling!!!:D
I hate to nit-pick, but the link seems to take me to a generic "sign-up" page. Where are your pictures, or am I just missing it? If the pics you want to link to are on another page, replace the url you are currently using with the url to your pictures page.:)

Also, you can make the word "My Photos" be your link if you wish. After a few tries, you can get fairly creative. Notice that the "AMA/BRC Member" sentence in my sig line is actually two seperate links to each of those organizations. Fun, fun, fun! (and initially very frustrating!)
