Hi there! Just curious if anyone knew about how to id an older honda. I'm trying to discover the year of a bike I just bought. I think the dude who sold it to me lied about it. The serial number isn't the typical 17 characters. It's: ME0317S01S1 I would really appreciate any feedback. thanks!

I had this trouble with my old XR75. I had to call the Honda dealer. Growing up my Dad always said it was a '75 but now that I am restoring it 28 years later I realized it didn't have 75 side panels, turns out it is a 77, lol.

Did you get the number off the steering stem or is that number from one of the engine cases?

your local Honda dealer should be able to tell you everything you want to know about the bike.

Search google images for a 1995 honda cr125. If what comes up is not what your bike is, try other years. Below is the first image that came up when I entered in a search.
