How much diff between .41 and .42 fork springs?

I weigh 165 lbs, ride "recreational MX" and Race Tech shows that I should be running .42 kg springs in the forks of my KX125. The bike currently has .41 kg springs and reworked valving (modified by previous owner). I feel like I could use a _little_ more stiffness for when I over-jump tabletops. On the other hand, the setup is fine for normal use and bottoms only when I flat-land.

Do ya think it's work moving to .42 kg? Or should I just mess with the clickers and oil level a bit?

Just add 5cc's of oil and save the spring money. Going from a .41 to .42 wouldn't be real noticable. With the way spring rates can vary your .41's could spec out close to .42 or vise versa.

I remember one of the mag articles (probably MXA) was bragging about how they discovered the "hot setup" on a particular bike was to replace one of the fork springs with a .01 kg/mm heavier spring. Rediculous!

anyway, in your case .42/.41 is 2.4% heavier. If you could feel the difference, my hat's off to you.

No, it's a serious question. I moved from .36 to .40 on my old XR250 and it made a difference, so I was just curious as to whether or not .01 would be noticeable. 5 cc's of oil is sure cheaper.... :cool:
