How to identify a blown fork seal?

It seems I have blown a left fork seal on my KX? Whenever I ride it leaves some fork oil on the upper fork tube. Is it blown? Also I have some Bel-Ray fork oil 5W that I never used and wondered if thats ok to use? Also would filling my forks with some air hurt them cause they seem to be to bouncy. thanks for any input :)

Mark,
It's blown... Using air will cause ytour ride to become very werid! Belray is fine. I would replace it and the seal soon! If you like you can try Mobil 1 ATF.

I'm getting ready to sell it but I don't wanna fork :confused: out the money to have a new seal replaced by a shop. thanks for the advise anyway Jeremy.:)
