I cleaned my bike with a new degreaser
and my new rear brakes are squeeking.
I sanded them down a bit but they still squeek.
If there any way to stop the noise?

Thanks

Do you know that most brake pads contain asbestos? If the fluid is on the pad, its in the pad also, scrap. De glaze your rotor with a green scotch brite pad, and wash it in hot soapy water, especially the holes, then hit it with non chlorinated brake cleaner. Put new pads in. Vintage Bob

as far as i know asbestos was prohibited in any aplication. at least this is general common sense and hear say(i know, i know). i really don´t know if there is a maximum percent or totally banned.
with or without, pads are garbage...

edit: further investigation led me to wikipedia :)
from wikiknowseverithingpedia i get this:
http://eur-lex.europa.eu/smartapi/cgi/sga_doc?smartapi!celexapi!prod!CELEXnumdoc&lg=EN&numdoc=31999L0077&model=guichett

yes, it was banned...
