looking for anyoue with info on where to find 87 husky 500 xc parts, bikes, books any thing that might help in restoring this old desert rat :nod:
any one here know much about casting or forgening pistons

Also, the Husqvarna web site lists suppliers for vintage parts as does the AHRMA site.

Husky Club, Vintage Husky, AMS, Vintage Iron, as well a the Yahoo tip from above are good places to start your search. I get most of my parts from V.I.

Husky club has it all...

You do not have to make parts, they are all around. **** has plenty and the Husky club has a list of vintage parts dealers.
I got a CR250 83, and sometimes I adapt parts from other bikes.

Cagiva bought Husqvarna's motorcycle division in '87. The '87 500XC is a water cooled 2-stroke.
